Google reviews for Chvrches at Revolution Hall (the venue, not this ticket website). 4 stars and up. Google doesn’t verify every review, and it removes fake ones when it finds them.
Great venue with balcony seating and a large GA floor. Pretty good viewing of the stage in general but the best part about this venue if the great vibes. It used to be a school and there's just something about the place that has really good feelings. Maybe it's all the fun kid stuff that wandered around the halls throughout the ages, or the maze-like stairs and hallways. Perhaps it's just that the people working there are super chill. The place is great. The drinks are not insanely expensive, and they have a nice outdoor patio at the show bar downstairs. Tasty-smelling pizza, though I didn't get to grab some in time, they stopped selling it toward the end of the show. Easy parking.
Rev Hall is now my favorite music venue in Portland post-COVID. Not only are there many great shows, but the Show Bar restaurant is an awesome place for food & drinks pre-show and the scene is always chill on the floor. Jack White showed up at Rev Hall for his recent small venue performance, and The Decemberists celebrated their new album release there. Need I say more?!
Great venue, showed up VERY early to see POND on 12/12/22. The show was at 8pm and we showed up around 4:30 just due to transportation reasons (taking the train up to Portland and just walking around the city). We were surprised to see that the building is in an old school but the building itself was quite gorgeous and distinct with a large patio type area out front. We wanted to warm up from the cold and ended up getting a few drinks and some food from the bar and restaurant downstairs that essentially serve as an entrance to the venue. The staff was friendly, the music and atmosphere was great and the drinks and food were very reasonably priced with a decent selection. The rooftop bar was closed but it was still possible to get up there and see the views which were very enjoyable. It's a very casual but not chaotic venue where you are directed where to go but essentially are free to hang out, get drinks and go in and out of the showroom before the actual show starts (if you want to get good seats, but then decide you want a drink or something, there is another bar on the second floor as well). Tickets themselves were also a fantastic deal and this is CERTAINLY a venue that I will be coming back to and one that has helped define my experience with Portland so far as a true place to be for music lovers
